The Wedding Reception at Onion Creek Country Club in Austin Texas

After Kristoffer Aaron and Michaela's wedding ceremony, everyone went to the Onion Creek Country Club for the reception dinner and dance. The reason the club was chosen for the reception site was that the Bride and Groom had recently built their house in the Onion Creek sub-division in Austin and were recent members of the club. Also, when the couple visited the club as a potential site for the reception, they were blown away by it's elegance and not to mention the exquisite food they served there.

The Reception started promptly at 8 PM following the ceremony at 7 PM. The guests were greeting by an assortment of fruits and cheeses to dine on while they awaited the Bride and Groom (taking pictures at the Church) to get to the reception.

As the Bride and Groom were announced, they walked down the spiral staircase leading down to the main gathering room/dance floor. Everyone took their seats at their tables and enjoyed a delicious meal served by the chiefs at Onion Creek.

After everyone had finished eating, the D.J. started out the dancing by announcing the first dance by the Bride and Groom. The newly married couple danced to their favorite song "Come What May" from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Then the father of the bride danced with his daughter (to the song Unforgettable) shortly followed by the groom dancing with his beautiful mother. Soon many people were on the dance floor while others mingled and chatted with family, old friends, new friends and new family.

Heart touching speeches were given by the Best Man Bo Gillespie, bride's brother Aaron, and the groom's father Jerry.

Kaela tossed her bouquet to the single girls as Kristoffer Aaron did the same with the garter belt (caught by Ben Sword, notably the only person with his hands out of his pockets during the toss).

The married couples dance began as everyone that was married got up on the dance floor and danced. The DJ slowly eliminated the youngest married couples from dancing by asking them to sit down if they had not been married past a certain date until the longest married couple was the only ones dancing. That couple would be long time McGuffey family friends the Coleman's. The Ron and Barbara Coleman gave a heart warming speech about keeping God first in your marriage as the secret to a happy and long marriage as the newly married couple Kristoffer Aaron and Kaela watched on.

Towards the end of the ceremony the couple cut the two cakes (Bride and Grooms) and everyone enjoyed a piece of the fluffy white and strawberry cream filled Bride's cake, and the German Chocolate Groom's cake with tuxedo strawberries.

With one last dance the couple made their exit among a storm of floating bubbles one hour before mid-night surrounded by family and friends that they felt a huge amount of love and support from. They spent the night at the wedding suite at the hotel on the Austin Airport location, and left the next day for their Honeymoon in Scotland, U.K..

McNiece who met Aaron during their freshmen years at H.P.U. and were roommates in Brownwood during that time and Seth Shaffer, Luke's brother that has known Aaron for over 8 years and also goes to A.C.C. in Austin.

On the right we have Eric Vespe and Amanda Gillispie. Eric and Amanda are two of the coolest but most warm hearted and loyal friends that Kaela and Aaron have. They're both writers for "Aint It Cool News" and are extremely knowledgeable about the movie industry and it's history.

Barbara and Ron Coleman have been close friends to the McGuffey family for over 20 years. They are from Brownwood Texas and were the longest married couple selected during the married couples dance. Barbara has been a close friend to Aaron's mother and a trusted council for Anita for as long as she can remember. It was a real blessing to have them support us on our wedding day.

Paula and Paula Martin - Paula is Kaela's Aunt on her Fathers side of the family. Paul and Paula have been married for over 20 years and have three beautiful children Beth, Kimber and little Emily. Paul also video taped the wedding for Aaron and Kaela which was a tremendous blessing for them both as the video came out wonderfully on both cameras that were setup.

Mike and Lori Jackson - have been extremely supportive of Kaela and Aaron during this wedding time. Mike and Lori are both long time friends to Aaron and are two of the most wonderful, giving, light hearted and loyal friends you can have. Lori works with Mike in the family music business in Brownwood Texas. The couple have been married for over 20 years.

Gloria and Richard Rollins - Gloria is Michaela's Aunt on her fathers side and is Paula's only sister. They are both from Okalahoma and have been married for over 30 years. They have two daughters Julie Shannon and Christy Rollins who were unable to make it to the wedding but supported us by phone and e-mail.

Gary and Betty East - have known the groom's Mother Anita since her Junior and High School days in Abilene. Betty and Anita were best friends growing up and she was thrilled to have them at her son's wedding.

Jay Hendrickson - Kaela's 12 year old cousin Jay pictured here with his Father Mike. Jay is a very strong and mature person for being so young. Michaela and Kris Aaron both admire his strength and heart and Aaron has enjoyed getting to know him and is blessed to have Jay as a part of his family.
